CDA Workshops 2022

Purpose: To develop skills in designing and implementing the reflective-collaborative learning (RCL) model.

The reflective-collaborative learning (RCL) model, developed at the West University of Timișoara (UVT), innovatively combines several modern pedagogical concepts, such as learning models, curriculum alignment, authentic learning outcomes, collaborative learning, reflective learning, learning outcome indicators, etc. All these concepts are reorganized into a coherent teaching and learning system, which fits into the student-centered learning paradigm.

In this context, over the past few months, the CDA team has developed specific workshops for each of these pedagogical concepts that underpin the RCL model.

Between September and November 2022, the CDA team invites members of the UVT academic community who are interested in modernizing teaching and educational activities to participate in these workshops.

A CDA workshop is a short-term activity lasting between 3 and 8 hours, depending on the complexity of the topic addressed.

In developing the six proposed workshops, the following training design framework elements were considered:

  • maximum 15 participants per workshop session;
  • the workshop is delivered in RCL format – seminar;
  • each workshop highlights the link between the central concept of the workshop and the RCL model;
  • the duration of a workshop is a maximum of 8 hours;
  • the authentic result targeted by the workshop is largely completed within the workshop;
  • the applications within the workshop are carried out in a real discipline, called the reference discipline, chosen by each participant;
  • each participant who completes a workshop receives a CDA certificate of participation and 2 CDA training points (PF CDA).
